Not digging the dust in PG these days? We aren’t either.
Dust is a major source of particulate matter (PM) emissions in the Prince George airshed during the spring and summertime. This can aggravate respiratory and heart diseases like asthma, allergies and even COVID-19.
But don’t just take our word for it. The charts included in the infographic below are adapted from the Prince George Air Quality Emissions and Modelling report, prepared by researchers at UNBC. Light- and dark- brown bars represent road and commercial dust concentrations in different PG neighbourhoods, averaged over a 3-year period between 2013 and 2016.
